Spring Break

Rob and I finished off the winter semester strong and passed our classes with flying colors! We've also been keeping ourselves busy during the break. My little brother and Rob's little sister both had birthdays on the 10th so we celebrated with them and spent the weekend mostly in Idaho Falls.

Then, after church on Easter sunday...we packed our stuff into the car, hooked up the GPS, and left for our anniversary trip! It was a blast! We stopped in Springville, UT sunday night and spent some time with some old friends. They were so awesome to feed us dinner and let us stay the night. (Your house is georgeous Em!) Then we drove on out to Moab on Monday. We had an exciting slight panic moment when we were in the middle of nowhere...the gas light turned on in the car, warning us to fill up before we run out in 30 miles. Oops! There were no helpful road signs in sight so we searched for a gas station in the GPS- the closest one it showed was 52 miles away. Super! We said a prayer and found a tiny little gas station and a subway in Nowheresville,USA. -actually it was called Green River- We were saved and got some lunch too.

Then on to Arches National Park. It was so much fun and the views were absolutley breaktaking. Pictures dont even come close to showing what we saw. The arches and everything are so huge- they kinda make you feel small and insignificant...or at least they make me think that there is no way this earth was created by accident. We explored, took pictures, hiked a bunch, and (best of all) enjoyed the warm weather! By early evening we were getting a bit tired and decided a nice swim in our hotel pool sounded pretty amazing. It was nice to be able to swim outside and not be freezing. The next day we woke up to a free hot breakfast and began another adventure looking for native american rock art. SO COOL! It is incredible that those are still there. I only wish I knew the stories that they told.

After that it was tme for our quest home. We stopped in Provo to eat dinner with one of Rob's best mission buddies. Olive Garden...yum! I also saw the MTC and Provo temple for the first time- kinda cool. Finally Homeward bound- it downpoured rain from Provo all the way to Idaho. Good ol' Idaho. It was nice to get home.

Wednesday we went to Massage Envy to get massages...highly reccomended to all!...it was sooo relaxing. Getting back to Rexburg was nice and since we've been home the weather has decided to be super nice. I love spring and most definitely love summer! Lots to look forward to in the next few months.
