Bringing the blog up to date...

So life has been busy busy busy as usual. November started out unusually mild/warm and ended with crazy blizzard weather. Luckily it didn't ruin any of our holiday plans. It did take us over an hour to get to Idaho Falls from Rexburg though- supposed to be a 30 minute trip. We took extra blankets and food with us in the car just in case we got stuck. We didn't use any of it but at least we were prepared. Thanksgiving was very nice- we spent time with both families; a traditional turkey dinner with the Welker family and a less traditional but SO yummy BBQ dinner with the Titus family. We re-read President Monson's talk about gratitude from the most recent general conference. Great reminders, Great counsel, Great talk :) I needed that one.

Here is abby all bundled up for her first snow...

During the Thanksgiving break Rob got a nasty flu so he napped a ton and we tried to stay inside and out of the blizzard as much as we could. Poor Abby ended up getting sick and running a 102+ fever the last couple days of the break as well. We had to take her to the doc who did some RSVand flu tests, took xrays, and gave her a breathing treatment. They were able to give her some antibiotics that helped her get better quickly. We discovered a few things with this (1) she is now 16 lbs which means she bumped up into the next weight bracket/ larger dose of tylenol- no wonder it wasn't getting rid of her fever. (2) antibiotics gave abby her first diaper rash-no fun. and (3) doctors in rexburg close EARLY and when they say 6pm they really mean we are locking you out at 5:55pm so go to the ER.

This was abby the first morning her fever really started affecting her. Pobrecita!

We found a new way for abby to take baths! She has recently decided she hates the baby tub and the big tub and the shower BUT the kitchen sink was tons of fun!
We put up a few christmas decorations to make our little home feel a bit more festive. I colored the snoopy pictures the first year we were married and have hung them up every year since. The kids in the snow pic came from my sister...she got it for free from her craft store. The charlie brown tree was from my little brother danny (and my parents) who saw it and thought of us. Our stockings were made by Rob's mom and we LOVE them so much. You'll also notice our first couple of christmas cards for this year, some angels, and homemade ornaments. fun fun :)

My mom and I and Abby have got to go visit and help my sister Lindsay a few times. She is pregnant, due in february and her husband Chris in the Army currently deployed to Iraq. Pray for them! It's been a lot of fun hanging out just us girls.
Here is abby in one of her favorite new outfits. It was a gift from Auntie Emmy and Uncle Ryan for our baby shower. Abby can finally fit into it :) we just roll up the sleeves so she can find her hands. (what you can't see in the picture is a cute little kitty on the bum)
Here she is again...our little princessa :)
This outfit was made by her Auntie Ally- Uncle John's fiance.
It is so cute and she loves wearing this one to church!

  1. Mack, your blog is so so cute! I love the new background and header. And of course I love all the new pics! Abby looks great in our little outfit! She is so stinkin adorable. That is too bad that she had to get sick. I hope you guys are all feeling better. We can't wait to see you at Christmas! Love you!
